Terms of Service

Last updated: 23 May 2026

These terms (the "Terms") are a contract between you and the person who runs Babble. By creating an account or using Babble, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please don't use the service.

Babble is a trading name of Katya-yani Vyas, a sole trader based in the United Kingdom. References to "Babble," "we," "us," or "our" mean Katya-yani Vyas trading as Babble. You can reach us at hello@babbleapp.co.

1. What Babble is

Babble is a private app that helps parents and family members capture a baby's milestones, growth records, photos, and everyday moments. You chat with an AI assistant, and the assistant helps extract structured records into a family timeline. You can invite family members to view your baby's timeline.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and have the legal authority to act as a parent or guardian of any child whose information you record in Babble. Babble is for adult use only — children may not create accounts. By inviting other people, you confirm you have authority to share the child's information with them.

3. Your account

4. Your content

Anything you put into Babble — messages, milestones, growth measurements, photos, family details — stays yours. By using Babble, you give us a limited, non-exclusive licence to store, process, and display that content for the purpose of running the service for you and the family members you've invited. We don't sell it, we don't share it with advertisers, and we don't use it to train AI models.

5. AI features and limits

Babble uses Anthropic's Claude AI to help extract structured information from your chats. Two things to keep in mind:

6. Acceptable use

Please don't:

7. Family invitations

When you invite someone to a baby's timeline, they can see the milestones, photos, growth records, and chat history you've added for that baby. You decide who joins and what role they have. You can remove a family member at any time, which revokes their access immediately.

8. Service availability

Babble is offered on an "as is" basis. We don't guarantee uptime, error-free operation, or that the service will always be available. We may change features, add new ones, or remove ones that aren't working. We'll try to give notice for significant changes, but pre-launch this may not always be possible.

9. Ending your use of Babble

You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete account. Deletion permanently removes your account, your babies, milestones, growth records, chat history, photos, and family connections, and cannot be undone.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms — for example, accounts being used to harass other users or upload illegal content. Where reasonable we'll get in touch first.

10. No warranty

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Babble is provided without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We don't warrant that the service will meet your requirements, that it will be uninterrupted, or that any AI-generated output will be accurate.

11. Limit of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Babble's total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you've paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) £50. We're not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost data (please keep your own backups of important photos), lost profits, or lost time.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that can't be excluded under UK law.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will change when we do. For significant changes we'll try to notify you in the app or by email. Continuing to use Babble after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, except that consumers in the UK retain the rights given to them by local law.
